An innovative transit-oriented housing development is proposed in Newington, bringing life to a key vacant lot.
This is the conversion of a 7.7-acre lot into a Workforce Assisted Housing Development zone, allowing for the creation of 108 apartments, a majority of which will have income eligibility requirements. The three buildings will be built with energy efficient “passive house design”. Plans also call for a sidewalk to connect the development to the Cedar Street Fastrak station.
