A prominent building on Bushnell Park no longer houses state workers and could be repurposed soon. The state offices formerly housed in it have relocated to the renovated State Office Building.
Spinnaker acquired the building and three adjacent parking lots from Konover for $6.8 million at the end of January 2020.
The $63-million project would include 164 apartments, with some designed to potentially be used as hotel rooms. It would also anchor the block which would include two new buildings in the future.
Renovation work on the interior of the building began in early 2022, with the addition of new buildings lining West Street coming later.
