Hartford Citywide WiFi

The City of Hartford announced a partnership with Dalio Education and Hartford Foundation for Public Giving in order to provide LTE hotspots across the city that will be publicly available for free. The project will implemented in phases, with Northeast and Frog Hollow being the first neighborhoods ready by the end of 2020. The city experienced a hacking attack to their server systems in September 2020 that destabilized the project.

In February 2022, the city put out to bid a project to bring high-speed internet to North Main Street. The city will commit $750,000 to the project.

Project Type: State/Municipal
Cost: $3,800,000
