Momentum is growing in Parkville to build upon successes such as factory conversions and the opening of Parkville Market, as well as a streetscape project on Bartholomew Avenue. As one of the City Plan’s Ten Transformative Projects, several refurbishments and new buildings are proposed that would foster new business ventures and other cultural/social attractions. Plans also call for an apartment block with a 350-car parking garage to serve the district.
The city is applying for state funding towards the $250-million master planned development, with nearly a dozen identified properties and a planned streetscape project on Bartholomew Avenue that is nearing completion.
